This year, Adam is invited to perform in the Macao International Music Festival with the Macau Chinese Orchestra, to perform 3 shows. The concert tickets have been selling well. Adam mentions that he will be wearing dai hup costumes to sing dai hup songs since his dai hup image has left a deep impression in the audience's hearts. They will have different stage effects to give a refreshing feeling, it won't be boring.

Adam has already arrived in Macau and started rehearsing for his concert. Adam indicates that although this is the first time cooperating with Macau Chinese orchestra, after a few rehearsals, he doesn't feel pressurized and he feels that there will be a better outcome singing classical love songs with the orchestra. Adam will be singing his classical songs and wearing ancient costumes and playing with sword. He will truly show his 'Bah yeh chow' talent.

Adam says before working with the Macau Chinese Orchestra, he had already performed with Singapore Chinese Orchestra earlier; therefore, he already has the experience. Perhaps Macau and Hong Kong audience love his dai hup songs, but Adam says he prefers to sing love songs or encouraging songs.

The Macau Chinese Orchestra conductor Pang Jia Peng also reveals that he likes to hear Adam singing love songs or sad songs as he can express the feelings well.

For the concert, Adam has tried to be at his best and taken care of his voice. Besides keeping fit, he has been using salt to rinse his mouth every morning and night to soothe his throat and also to prevent from affecting his voice. Adam has been in the showbiz for many years, besides having real talents, charms and hard work, his 'Chor Lau Heung' charisma has attracted millions of 'Adam's fans'. Adam indicates that actually acting is more comfortable than singing since you can't sing again if there's a mistake on the stage. It really relies on your experience. But regardless, Adam always performs his best when singing on stage or when acting, he faces everything calmly.

'Adam and the Orchestra Shows' will debut this Friday with 3 shows. Adam reveals that after finishing the Macau concerts, he will return to Hong Kong and continue his filming. By end of the year, he will go to Singapore for an art school charity event and he will also be having concert in USA/Canada. He will continue to bring joy to the audience around the world.

The first weekend of October, on the other hand, will be awaited by all lovers of Cantopop, a hybrid of Cantonese opera music and western pop, whose flamboyant performers often develop superstar status – a status which the Hong Kong actor and singer Adam Cheng maintains since the beginning of the 70’s, and which he will reaffirm when he shares the Macau Cultural Centre Grand Auditorium’s stage with the Macau Chinese Orchestra from October 10 to October 12.

Adam is the eternal romantic, whose dreamy, soft voice, together with his charisma and perpetual smile, will no doubt cast a spell on his fans and all the curious souls that take an interest in local popular culture.
