Adam Shows His Power: "Don't Assume that I am Not Here."
Return in Glory's rating rises, Shares drop.

ATV is currently airing Adam's series "Return in Glory" and they have successfully gained more viewership as ATV's rating has been rising. Moreover, there's news of shares drop and the talks of "Ding Hai effect." No wonder Adam laughs and says, "That's for sure, don't assume that I am not here."

Ever since last week, ATV started airing "Return in Glory" for 1 and a half hour per episode. It's competing with TVB's series "Devil's Disciples" and "Drive of Life." Last week, the rating for "Return in Glory" was 6 points, highest at 7 points, rising 2 points. The result is a big rise compared with ATV's recent ratings.

Although ATV has chosen an auspicious date to air "Return in Glory," but due to recent turbulence in Asian stock markets, Heng Seng index drops and once again "Ding Hai effect" has become a topic. Adam jokes and talks about "Ding Hai effect." Coincidentally, the market drops and will just let it be "Ding Hai effect" if everyone believes so. Doesn't matter whatever one says, more importantly is on the news." Adam adds that investors don't need to worry, they can buy the shares when it's low, Heng Seng index will rise again.

Because Adam still has contract with TVB, he couldn't do promotions for ATV. Regarding "Return in Glory" good ratings, Adam also gives a low-key response. Adam indicates that he's happy that the series receives good response, but it's not suitable for him to say too much. Asked if TVB is giving him pressure and thus, stopping him from helping ATV with the promotions of "Return in Glory?" Adam replies that there's no pressure but he should also know his position and stands. Adam adds that at first when he signed the contract to filmed "Return in Glory," it was a 24-episode series, but due to good response receiving in China, it changed to 33 episodes. Regarding this matter, Adam says he will have a discussion with the production team.

Last week, the ratings for all TVB's series have dropped.

Yesterday Cha Siu Yan interviewed Adam over the phone. Cha Siu Yan mentions that "Return in Glory" has been receiving high ratings in China. Adam says some stations have broken the records and received 4 points when they usually receive 1 or 2 points. Adam is happy with the results. Cha Siu Yan says Adam just want to be a good actor and there are online fans from the radio program who've highly praised Adam a lot. Adam jokes that the listeners from the radio program must be intelligent. Cha Siu Yan says the fans think Adam has great chemistry with Jiao Huang. Adam says Jiao Huang is a very serious person. He even takes down all the details in a notebook. He will tell Adam this and that about the scene and controls the scene. Adam says Jiao Huang is a stage drama actor.

Cha Siu yan asks whether Adam had to follow Jiao Huang's acting. Adam says it doesn't matter for him as he feels that he can make changes and he is able to fit in. Adam mentions the reuniting scene, he reveals that many says that part is very touching from what he has read online and the responses he received. He says that part made a lot of changes. Producers and Jiao Huang also made a lot of changes too. He says when they were discussing whether he needed to walk (for that scene), Jiao Huang said he didn't have to walk, Jiao Huang will walk to him. He says Jiao Huang is a very straightforward person. Adam thinks it's alright because in real life, you can't expect people to behave similar to you, or to have same thinking and etc. That's why you will get that effect. It's boring if always act the Adam's style. Cha Siu Yan says most important is they have great chemistry.

Then Cha Siu Yan mentions Gui Ya Lei and jokes that the news say when Adam saw Gui, he was in a daze. Adam says Gui is elegant and has great acting. Adam jokes that there's a scene where Gui hugs Adam and after they finished that scene, he felt that he was being taken advantage since he didn't do anything. Therefore, he also wanted a scene where he gives Gui a kiss on the cheek because it shows that he appreciates the wife supporting him. Cha Siu Yan jokes that she is worried for Adam's ears (Eve will pull his ears). Adam laughs and says now his ears have become longer...it means long life.

Cha asks Adam if filming in HK is more fun or China? Adam say it's also a challenge for him this time. At first it was quite tiring, since the director was not very familiar with his way of acting, only knew by his Chor Lau Heung and Qian Long's styles, those require him to act cool and handsome type. But they realized that he could easily do those scenes and show his emotions and feelings.

Cha Siu Yan asks if Eve has watched Adam's performance in RIG? At first Adam thought the DJ meant filming, he says not much. Then the DJ says she means watching Adam's RIG series. Adam says yes and Eve says it's worth watching. Adam says Eve is like a teacher to him, she will discuss with him all the scene.

The DJ mentions about Hong Kong concert. The news reported that Adam couldn't get the slot. Adam says it doesn't matter if can't get it, can wait for another date. Adam says he has only read that from the news so he will wait for the organizer's response about this.

Adam mentions that he went to Taiwan to celebrate Eve's mother's birthday. His mother-in-law was celebrating her 70th birthday and Adam was very happy. The DJ asks what present he gave to Eve's mom? Adam says Eve told him cannot tell, he says of course Eve knows what her mom likes.

The DJ asks Adam if he will help ATV to do promotions for RIG? Adam answers wisely, saying he's with TVB and still have contract with them. He can only say RIG is a series he filmed overseas. The DJ laughs and says there's nothing difficult for Adam.
